Had the opportunity to be part of a story about the Ironman and triathlon training in general.
Don't really agree with David Neiman's assessment that only "rare genetically gifted specimens" should attempt to do the Ironman. I am, however, often amazed and disappointed to see people who don't respect the race and show up at an Ironman uninformed and dramatically un-prepared. I feel that a lack of training is a bigger problem for more people on an Ironman start list than over-training syndrome.
