70.3 Triathlon Training Weekend
May 4th - 6th

Now in its 9th year, this training weekend was initially designed for athletes racing the Ironman Kansas 70.3. It has proven to be beneficial for anyone racing long course triathlons.
The 70.3 Training Weekend will provide athletes training for the Legend Free State 70 and 100 a great opportunity to swim, bike and run on the course they will race on in June.
Developed for all athletes who are looking for a hands-on, group training opportunity. ​

Structure of the weekend will follow the proven plan that has been developed and refined over the years we have hosted this weekend training event:

• Friday evening – pool swim session & introduction at a pool in the KC area
• Saturday – to Lawrence for Open Water Swim discussion and practice in Clinton Lake.
• Fully supported group ride of the full route followed by an OTB run
• Sunday – Group run in Leawood followed by a discussion on race day nutrition
